New Egyptian link for Bristol Airport
This week staff and passengers at Bristol Airport have gone all Anthony and Cleopatra as Thomson Airways launch their first winter flights to Luxor.
Available exclusively to Thomson and First Choice customers, the new route between Bristol and Egypt forms a key part of the tour operator’s winter 2010/2011 schedule. Along with their other new destinations which include Gran Canaria - also from Bristol - it’s hoped that the operator will be able to increase their winter capacity by up to 55%.
Bristol Airport will play a key part in Thomson’s UK expansion plans over the next year or so too with new destinations such as Antayla, Larnaca, Dalaman, Heraklion, Reus, Barbados and Dominican Republic all planned for 2011.
Director of Customer Services for Thomson Airways, Carl Gissing, demonstrated their commitment to regional airports such as Bristol by saying: “At Thomson Airways we are fully committed to our regional UK airports as we understand the importance of allowing our customers greater choice and flexibility. With over 30 new routes being introduced, those looking to escape for some winter sun this year will have more choice than ever before without the inconvenience of a long journey to the airport”.
